FAQs - Any Doubts?

Do I Have to Book in Advance
Yes, we ask for at least 24 hours' notice for our running tours. We have to check the availability of one of our tour guides and we need some time to arrange all necessary tour details with you. Our recommendation is to book at least in the high season one week before. First come, first serve!

If less notice is given, we will do our very best to arrange a tour for you. Please keep in mind, in high season the morning hours are the preferred start times of our guests and are therefore quickly booked up.

Simply contact us as soon as possible.

Am I fit enough for a Running Tour
  • Our Running Tours are for Beginners and Advanced runners
  • On our Private Running Tours we will run your pace
  • We will run and sightsee the city without stress and in a relaxed way
  • We will do some stops in front of sights (if you prefer we run also without stop)
  • You will run with your own personal guide (private tours)
What is the Tour Pace

Don't worry! We adapt our pace to your pace. We are not on a race - this is a running tour and we will run a relaxed pace..

Just in case you like to use your running tour as a part of your race preparation training, just tell us which pace you like to run.

If you should have still concerns about any pace related question, just let us know by sending us an email.

Are there Stops on our Tours
Yes! We do short stops by the main attractions where the guide talks about the sights, the history and also share a few anecdotes. Just in case you prefer to run without any stops, just let us know before we start the tour.
The Weather - Rain or Snow
Tours go ahead, rain or shine (or snow). However, in very severe weather (to be determined by your guide) you will be offered to return at a later time or to postpone for another day.

You should turn up at the meeting point as usual, where your guide will advise, if it is necessary to postpone the tour. Tours will usually go ahead, even if it is raining.

Please check your emails and your phone! Or just contact us if you have any doubts.

What should I bring to the Tour
What should you bring to the start line?

Beside of a big smile, you should be prepared for the weather conditions during the different seasons. So normally light running equipment is absolutely sufficient for the summer climate. Especially in late spring and summer we always recommend to use any kind sun protection.

An extra bottle of water during summer season is recommendable. We will point out on water fountains with drinking water if available.

Should children join us on a tour, then it should be in summer time obligatory to use caps and sun protection (sun lotion SPF 50+).

And don't forget, we can have sometimes also some rain! So please be prepared yourself by checking the weather forecast and with a light rain jacket.

Can I take Photos along the Way

Of course, you can at any time of your tour! Just let us know when you like to stop to take a photo.

By the way, we also take photos with our GoPro action cameras during the tour. So don't forget to smile at any time! After the tour, we will upload the photos to Dropbox (to the cloud) and send you a link by email. Just follow the link to have a look at the photos and of course, download them.

This service is of course without extra charge. Here is a link to see some examples of photos we have taken on our tours >> Tour Gallery

Unfortunately, the quality of the tour photos depends on light conditions and weather (rain, sun). So, we can't give you any guarantee on the quality of the photos we will take during your tour. But we do our best.

Water Supply
Along our tour routes we will pass some water foutains (drinking water quality) for a quick refreshment. You can also refill your own bottle at the water fountains.
Meeting Point

On our Private Running Tours and if your hotel/apartment is close to the city center or near the tour route in Barcelona, then we will meet you in front of your hotel/apartment main entrance. Unless otherwise agreed, the tour will then start and stop at your accommodation address. Very importantly, provide us with your hotel/apartment address when you make your tour reservation or when you contact us regarding a tour inquiry. Thanks!

If we can't meet you at your hotel/apartment in Barcelona, then we will make you a proposal somewhere close to your address and the tour route or we will meet you at our standard meeting point in the center of Barcelona.

Standard meeting point: Plaça Catalunya, in the center of the square, metro lines L1 (Red), L3 (Green) and FGC trains L6, L7, S1, S2, S5, S55 (Google Maps link)

and for the Montjuic Hill tour at:

Plaça Espanya, in front of the right Venetian tower, metro lines L1 (Red), L3 (Green), and FGC trains L6, L8, S8, S33, R6, R5 (Google Maps link)

Stroller on Tour
You like to take your kid in a stroller with you on a running tour. No problem! Please let us know in advance about it and we can plan a stroller "friendly" tour route. Our general recommendation for a running tour with a stroller are the early morning hours, when the streets are less busy and better to run with a stroller.

Unfortunately we can't provide you with a stroller.

Can a Bike accompany the Tour
A friend or family member like to join the tour, but she/he is not a runner? This is in general no problem if somebody on a bike likes to accompany us.

Of course, the bike has to adapt to the runner. We will try to be as bike-friendly" as possible with the tour route.

When you book the tour, the person counts as a normal participant.

Unfortunately, we can't provide you with a bike. This is because of insurance reasons. We recommend to rent the bike already the night before. The bike rentals very often open late between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM in the morning.
